We run next Saturday at West Milton in the Miami County Meet.

Sept.15,2007-Eaton Invitiational

The lady bees finished 11th with 284 points at the eaton invitational.  They were led by Keira Corbett in 25th place in a personal record 21:37.  She was followed by Lauren Brenner in 67th in 25:53, Kristin Rickey in 71st in 26:12, Sarah VanNess in 76th in 27:25, Anna Grycz in 86th in 29:53, and Melissa Campbell in 88th in 30:04.

Overall I was very pleased with the way the team ran and competed.  Some of the boys were not pleased with their times because in the past Eaton has been a fast course.  Keira did a great job of running with the front pack of girls today instead of having to catch them later.  Brandon did a much better job of running closer to the front pack of runners and it paid off with a personal record on his part.  This season has been a lot of fun since I have 9 guys fighting each week for a spot on the varsity team and this week a couple more showed signs of wanting to join the fight.

September 4, 2007

The lady bees were led by Keira Corbett with a 3rd place finish in 23:04.  She was followed by Lauren Brenner in 41st place in 31:39, Kristin Rickey in 48th place in 34:11, and Anna Grycz in 49th place in 34:16.

The course at the Southeastern invite was a challenging hilly course.  Keira did a good job of staying with the lead pack and then charging thru them to finish in third in the last mile.

The boys were led by Brandon Graves with a 5th place finish in 19:06.  He was followed by Dustin Swartzbaugh in 11th place in 20:55, Josh Sexton in 21st place in 21:55, Alex Reed in 24th place in 22:05, Ryan Sayer in 34th place in 23:12, Charles Slusser in 35th place in 23:20, Wil Begley in 36th place in 23:33, David Robinson in 39th place in 24:16, Jaben Corbett in 49th place in 26:07 and Aaron Flora in 51st place in 26:33.

Keira ran a good race today.  She had a good group of division 1 girls to race with today.  She has been running a little bit faster with each meet. She is running with more confidence with every meet.  The girls should have a team next Saturday when we go to Tiffin Carnival.
